This is a 3 day short tour from Lima to the Pacific beach town of Paracas and the stunning desert oasis of Huacachina. In Paracas, boat out to Peru’s “Poor Man’s Galapagos” and visit the stunning coastal National Reserve. In Huacachina combine Sandboarding/Dunebuggying with a visit to a local Pisco Vineyard trip.  A great 3-day escape from Lima.

Day 1 Download Itinerary

6:30am - 7:00am
Pickup at your hotel/hostel in Lima.
9:30am - 10:00am
Breakfast Stop & Peruvian Horse Dance Show – We stop for the chance to try a unique breakfast straight from the bread ovens of Mirasur – Enjoy some of the freshest baked bread in Peru and watch the local horses as they show the traditional dance of Caballos del Paso – yes, the horses dance! (breakfast not included)

Bus arrives to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea.

Day 2 Download Itinerary

8:00am - 10:00am
2 hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, but just as great, where you'll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat.
10:30am - 12:30pm
Tour of Paracas National Reserve - one of South America's biggest protected desert reserves. Stunning Pacific coastline where desert meets ocean.
12:30pm - 2:00pm
Direct bus from Paracas to Huacachina, a small natural oasis located in the Ica desert.
2:00pm - next day
Night in Huacachina

Day 3 Download Itinerary

11:00am - 1:00pm
Tour of the Pisco Vineyard - see how Pisco, Peru's national drink, is made from the grape to the bottle and try lots of free samples.
4:00pm - 6:00pm
2 hours of dune buggying and sandboarding - Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America.
7:00pm - 11:45pm
Bus back to Lima. You will be dropped off at your hotel/hostel.

We will be taking a short break at the end of December for Christmas and New Year. We do this to give our bus drivers and guides time to spend with their families during these special holidays. As a business, we know this may disappoint some travelers, but we care about our employees the same way we care about our passengers and want to give them a well-deserved rest.

Easter weekend holidays. We will not be able to assist you booking any accommodations during this period. Please book in advance. 

NOTE: For the Easter (Semana Santa) weekend the Ballestas Islands Tours (Paracas) on these dates will last only one and a half hours in duration. This is the same for ALL tour operators.

NOTE: For the Easter (Semana Santa) weekend the Dunebuggy & Sandboarding Tours (Huacachina) on these dates will last only one hour in duration. This is the same for ALL tour operators.

Hotel/hostel prices will increase during this period. Accommodation in larger dorm room sizes may apply. We won't be able to assist with room upgrades.

 

Due to the heavy traffic, we will depart Lima at an earlier time (6:00am)

 

Tours will be shortened with all tour operators as follows: Ballestas Islands Tour: 1 hour and a half and Sandboarding & Buggies: 1 hour

 

Access to the oasis may be limited. It might be necessary to walk a short distance in and out of the oasis. Please consult your guide regarding your luggage.
